5 June 2018 Reds are firing back up! Reds have fired back up in Pine Island sound and Matlacha and even catching on slack tides. I've been using cut pins as bait and live ones for snook. The snook are biting great but no longer in season and I have been catching them on incoming and outgoing tides back in the groves. Tarpon have slowed a bit with the weather but should fire back soon. See rollers out in the Harbor away from Boca Grande pass and off the beaches. The passes I am not fishing due to sheer number of boats out there with tempers flaring and boats not respecting each other's distance. It's crazy out there. Snapper bite has been good on the small shrimp that's at the bait stores now. Now that we are in rainy season and the waters murky up from rain and the water release from big O I will fish the dirty water but when it's too dirty I will move to cleaner waters. As the waters heat up you should be targeting deeper shaded areas next to the groves and under them. UNDER THEM. Until next time.. Check out and like my Facebook https://www.facebook.com/jimbocharters/ and Instagram #jimboscharters page for recent pictures and trips. If you're ready to go fishing give me a call to plan your trip so we can try and catch the tides right. If you're a Disabled/ Retired Veteran or first responder I have discounts for you. I'm also on Facebook at Jimbo's Charters where I post pictures if my clients let me and my website www.Jimboscharters.com and my You tube channel I am slowly building https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCGhDg-V7oR-ex6W-5ztwLAQ Also, if you see me out there say Hi. I am a friendly guy that likes to help. Just don't ask for a pin point location, but I will tell you what I am catching fish on. Captain Jim 239-671-4692 {%image_id=59737%}{%image_id=59738%}
