{%image_id=43318%}Had a day off Monday as did my buddy Capt Christopher Mattson of Mattson Charter Service. He and I do a lot of two boat trips together, but were able to fish together Monday. As the seas were gentle, we elected to run outside 8 miles to an artificial reef and see what was up. And the first thing that was up was a half dozen Cobia! They slid in on the live pogies we had out, and Chris and I hooked 4 and put 3 in the boat in short order. Doubled up the whole time. We took a few quick pictures and put them back to fight another day. All were in the low to mid thirties. Really fun on light tackle. We went down the structure in 50 feet, and caught a smorgasbord of fish. Black Sea Bass, Trigger fish, a small Gag Grouper, Spottail Pinfish, a couple of small Red Snapper, Spanish Mackerel, and a big Blacktip and Sand Shark. I also believe I was hooked up on a smoker King Mackerel, as he peeled off 250 to 300 yards of line in no time. But the mono leader was cut clean when he made the first turn. What a great way to take off a day from fishing!{%image_id=43317%}{%image_id=43316%}{%image_id=43315%}{%image_id=43314%}
