What a beautiful day the air temperature is in the upper 60's low 70's, with "Carolina Blue Skies". A light breeze makes for one of the best bay I can remember in a while. Too bad you could not make it! The Katrina Reef has started showing her future colors. Speckle Trout are just beginning to cruise some specific areas of her structure. This makes for some sporadic periods of intense fishing, that can put a smile on any fisherman. Our salinity levels are almost back to normal, allowing the patterning of spawning Specks a very productive endeavor. Bait is everywhere in the Bays. The Ground Mullet and White Trout are still plentiful on all of the reefs. The weather is great. The Reefs around Pass Christian are firing up with large Speckle Trout. Timing is everything, and after a little searching to find the school you can fill a limit with little effort.
