The water temp. is dropping as the colder weather is becoming more dominate. The bass are starting to stay in the shallows longer and the top water action in great. As the morning warms up and the sun gets higher the action on the leadges in still the place to be. The bigger bass are there and the rewards are worth the work. With the changing weather brings the fronts. This chance in barometric pressure changes the fishing patterns. This will settle down soon and patterns will be easier to set. Always keep an eye out for the birds and the bait fish. They are the best time clock for feeding times. If you are near land and are able to view pastures orgrazing land, the cattle and deer will also tell you if it is feeding time. The crappie are still great and the cooler weather has helped to reduce the mosquito problem and more boats are being seen out after dark. Catfish are still popular table fare and are always willing to bite worms or cut bait. They can be caught nearly anytime of day and just about any place you pick to fish. The new fish attractors are drawing fish and will prove to be great as time goes on. The Corps of Engineers is working on the new map and we will let you know as soon as it is completed. They are free and we hope to have them avaliable on the internet as well as at the Corps office. 'Till next time, God Bless & Good Fishn' Capt. Sam
