Anna Maria Fall Report

Anna Maria

{%image_id=30160%} Water temp is the key with finding the fish this time of year. I keep a close look to my fish finder temp gauge. Sometimes just a few degrees up or down will make all the difference between a good catch and nothing at all.{%image_id=30159%} With water temps in the sixties artificial baits work as good if not better than live bait. Work your baits slower after a cold front and a little faster as the weather improves and temperatures start to rise. {%image_id=30158%} Canals and back bays that are protected from the wind will have less major change than the open flats. Flats that are close to deeper water will be good places to try. If the same area is holding glass minnows it is even better. Good Fishing! Capt. Rick Gross
