Fishing was steady on the deep grass flats this week. Wind was an issue early in the week, but really did not hinder the bite. Speckled trout, bluefish, Spanish mackerel, sharks, ladyfish, jacks, flounder, grouper, snapper, sea bass, and catfish were caught by anglers casting Gulp Shrimp on jig heads. A few fish were caught on live shrimp and Rapala X-Raps as well. Small bait fish showed up in the passes at the end of the week, and I finished up my Friday trip chumming up ladyfish and trout on the flats. I will do that more as the bait gets larger and easier to catch. {%image_id=68171%}
