Fishing report by Captain Van Hubbard for mid January 2008. Winter finally found us so I am taking some time to get my boat serviced for better weather. She needs some TLC and maintenance so she will be ready for fishing when things warm back soon. I have the Yamaha scheduled for service tomorrow and do not know exactly haw fast they will be able to complete services. I expect to be back on the water before the end of this month. With such good weather last month I’m excited about the spring prospects for hot fishing soon. We enjoyed some of the best tarpon fishing ever last year; and I’ve been at this since 1976. Snook, trout and redfish are all looking better. Our Spanish and king mackerel run was awesome; plenty of bait, fish and big kings. It’s time to set your dates for Spring and Summer snook and tarpon seasons now. Let’s Go Fishin’ soon. Captain Van Hubbard
