Summer Tarpon Tarpon fishing continues to the best in Boca Grande has seen in the last 10 years with seven solid weeks of chewing. Most all of these tarpon have been over the hundred pound mark. I expect they will stay longer this year due to the rains in the gulf and the red tide north of here. I have a few open dates the last week in June so if you want in on the action give me a call. Permit have been good on the reefs near shore as well as cobia and tripletail. I have not personally been out but have good reports from other Capt’s. I will start making a few tracks out to the 8-9 mile range next month in search of some different action. Redfish are starting to school up earlier than normal this year. With the FLW redfish series coming in to my hometown next month I hope to be able to make a good showing. My luck hasn’t been very good in the last two events so maybe I can redeem myself. Fishing in general is good I suggest getting out early or late to avoid the heat the fish do. Good Things Come To Those With Bait Capt Andy Boyette
