Boca Grande, Florida Fishing Report

Boca Grande

Time For A Grand Slam Snook Redfish Trout and a Tarpon it’s that time of the year when you can put together a grand slam and catch the big four all in one day. Snook fishing as been very good with good numbers of snook being caught, most are just under the slot with a few keepers in the mix. The island points are holding snook on incoming tides. Redfish as been awesome with nice slot fish as well as over size reds in the 10-15 lb range. Bull and Turtle Bay are holding some nice schools. Trout have been a little harder than normal it seems the red tide seems to have taken a toll on the population. Then there are the tarpon the bite was phenomenal until the Easter cold front but it is gradually coming back and should be going strong for the next 3 months. Kingfish off shore has been great with schoolies and smokers up an down the whole coast. Permit should be right on the heels of the tarpon and the kings and should start invading near shore wrecks in good numbers. Grouper fishing should begin to move further offshore as well as the snapper. I still have some morning trips and some afternoon trips for tarpon available for May and June, but I have been filing up very quickly. Please call to check an available date and get in on the action it should be red hot in another couple of weeks and last through July.
