Boca Grande Fishing Report KingFish, Snook, And Redfish It's Kingfish season as the gulf temperatures have started to drop the seasonal Kingfish run is well under way. I been out three times the past two weeks and have managed some nice size fish with a couple of smokers mixed in. they haven't made a big showing yet, but we found our Kings at about 8 miles out of Boca Grande in 40-45 feet of water. The wind kept us from jigging any live bait so we used a magnum stretch 15 and stretch 30 and trolled over some structure with good results. Redfish seem to have stopped schooling up as the cold fronts rolled in on us the last few weeks. You can find them tailing on the edge of shallow bars with jigs, spoons taking some good fish. The snook seem to be cooperating well and are moving back on to the flats and backcountry now that the water is a little cooler. Last week i took out a group and we found a huge school of 20+lb Jacks and i had four anglers fighting a fish at the same time. Those jacks can be real fun when they are that big on 8lb test spinning gear. If you want to find you better hurry for the netters do. "GOOD THINGS COME T THOSE WITH BAIT" Capt Andy Boyette
