Pisces Sportfishing Fish Report June 23rd – June 29th Billfish: This week is getting better, the seas are calmed and the water is getting warmer. This week our Overall Succes Rate is 86%. We had boats like La Brisa who released 3 Striped Marlin on June 23rd for Angela & Steve Mitchell from Hopkinsville, KY. Ruthless on the 24th released 4 Striped Marlin for James Cortinas & Cynthia Schultea from Houston, TX, that same day Tracy Ann released 3 Striped Marlin and kept a 30lbs Dorado fro Christina Stolar & Shawn Richey from Columbus, OH and Ni Modo released one Striped and one Blue Marlin for Hap Burnett & Friends. Again, the highlight of the week, Tracy Ann, released 4 Striped Marlin and one Dorado for Julianna Peccia, Katherine Bantecon and Dan Ryan from Amenia, NY. on June 27th and again on June 28th released 4 Striped Marlin and one Dorado for Jay Hess from Windsor, CO. Lots of boats with multiple catches, this week we saw a few Sailfish and a couple of Blue Marlin. 60% of our boats caught Billfish, a total of 68 were caught and 62 were released. Other Species: Tuna is slowing down as the water is getting warmer, 20% of the boats caught tuna, and the average size was 25lbs, the best catch was for Valerie on June 29th with 7 tuna. Dorado was a little better with a success rate of 37%, on June 28th Reel Heaven caught 5 Dorados and 4 tuna for Ken Swan. Dorado size was between 20 – 40lbs. We also caught a couple of Wahoo between 40-60 lbs, a few Roosters and some Spanish mackerel. Location: Pacific Ocean on Jaime Banks, Cerro Blanco. Sea of Cortez on Punta Gorda, Destiladeras, Cabeza de Ballena and 95 Spot. Weather Conditions: Pretty calmed seas, very sunny, temperature reaching 100F.
