I know this is a fishing report blog and not a weather blog, but man our weather has brought on a lot of conversations. And looking for an ice storm starting tomorrow. Needless to say, fishing days have been pretty limited. We've had lower water temps than normal, and the only bite worth chasing is Redfish. And most of the fish being caught are on low tides on mud flats especially later in the day, as the shallow water tends to warm just a little. And you need to fish slow. Jerkbaits like those from Gulp have worked, along with cut mullet. Hopefully it will finally start to warm again, and we can get some nice days to get out on the water and chase them. Till then, keep the fire burning.
