Saturday’s washout made Sunday that much sweeter. Marc Chase, his brother Steve, and Dave came out early to do some striper fishing. We caught the last two hours of the outgoing and scored 4 keeper bass and several big bluefish chunking the watch hill reefs. As the tide went still, although you wouldn’t know it from the 6 foot swells on the reef, we picked up and trolled the shallows around the eastern end of Fisher’s Island. Tube and worm did the trick, hit bass from 28” to 37” every pass. Looks like the fall run has begun!
