Fishing before and after Irene
Long Island Sound, connecticut

Fishing before the storm was excellent to outstanding and remained the same after the wind died down as well. Casting spin tackle around the Watch Hill reefs was very productive in spite of the crowded conditions with stripers in the 26-33 in. class. Also, diamond jigging and 3 waying bucktails in the race provided catches on almost every drift, in spite of the muddied waters from river runoff. Blackfish season is around the corner. If this Oct. is anything like last year it will be a great finish to the season with plenty of hard fighting great tasting fish.
Tight Lines,
Capt. Mark Anderson
