Fishing improves with cooler weather
Long Island Sound, connecticut

August 15, 2013
This past weeks cooler temps have brought an increase of bass and blues back to our side of the Sound. The butterfish continue to be the food of choice. They are ranging in size from smaller than a dime to four inches in length. Today I saw the first bay anchovies in the mix. The fish that we are catching on flies are all school sized but just right for a fly rod.
Tight Lines,
Capt. Sandy Noyes
