Its been a tough week on the Eastern end of Long Island Sound

We were able to get out several times this week. Each day seemed a little tougher than the day before. Like last week the best bites were early in the morning or later in the evening. We were able to find bass every trip but had to work harder to catch them. The bait seems to have thinned out and the fish aren't staying up like they should. Occasionaly we get into good schools but not as regular as earlier in the season. On a good note the fish have been getting bigger. This weeks best was 20 lbs. and most others averaged around eight.
