Shad & Big Stripers

Alan Wolhstrom and crew continued their yearly BIG fish bonanza on Friday 7/02. Shad were biting until the sun brightened, then shut off completely. Alan and I were able to catch 8-10 for the rest of the crew that arrived shortly after first light. We arrived at our first striper spot and had three fish on not 30 seconds after the baits hit the water. Two cows hit the deck shortly after ( 38 @ 40") 30 plus lbr's! The action continued each drift until we finished off the baits. They landed 3 fish over 40" and 4 more between 36-39". Fishing dead bunker in the race was unproductive.
