The bass bite continues to hold up pretty well. There is a good supply of small herring and sand eels to keep the fish happy.We were able to get out several times this past week and found fish in most of the places that we stopped. The main ingrediant seems to be a good running tide. That keeps the bait moving and the fish happy. We did see more bluefish show up. Some of them were in the eight to ten lb. range.The largest bass of the week was about 14lbs. and that was taken on a squid fly.
