The butterfish are here and the stripers are eating
Long Island Sound, connecticut

This past week saw the annual influx of baby butterfish and they brought the stripers with them. I was out on Monday and there were plenty of bass up to 15 lbs. On Tuesday it was the same scenario except the fish were a bit smaller. The butters are stacked up just below the jellyfish drifting with the tides. The bass are eating for the whole tide. Reports from the East say the first bonito are starting to show.
Tight Lines,
Capt. Sandy Noyes
