The temps have dropped, of course, and sometimes it's difficult to get out into deeper water because of the winds, but we've been catching many species of local fish, especially when we can get into the middle of L.I. Sound, which is holding large blues and weakfish. The striped bass migration hasn't yet begun, but we've been getting a lot of keeper sea bass, which is a bonus for all fishermen aboard. Fluke fishing is finished for the year, but porgies are still biting, and most of them are large. "My Bonnie" will be in the water for another two weeks or so, after which we'll be heading south for the cold months.

Tight Lines,

Capt. Sal Tardella
