Pete Moccia of Katonah and his party of three had a great day jigging up bass up to 26" off the Obstruction Buoy. Doug Mackay of New Canaan and his group had some blues on top, but we had to spend a lot of time chasing them down. Not too many hook-ups for the morning, but they did get some bass inside the Islands. That afternoon, though, Dr. Charles Greskovich of Schenectady had a fantastic afternoon catching bass and blues on top with two hours of non-stop action off of Sherwood Island and Compo Beach. The stripers came in 18-25" and the blues 3-5 pounds. This was the chemist's first experience fishing salt water.
