Carl Bildner and his son, Mark, of Stamford had an excellent day, catching loads of school bass and a keeper fluke. All fish were caught on bucktails. Bud Woehrle of Las Vegas--an 80-year-old who fishes with us several days each year when he makes his annual visit to his sister, a resident of Wilson Point--enjoyed great bass fishing and a keeper fluke, plus a lot of porgies. All the fish were released except for the fluke. On his final trip last weekend we were looking for keeper stripers, and we found some on Green's Ledge--four in all--up to 25 pounds and blues up to 13 pounds, as well. Bud fishes Lake Mead in Nevada, where there are lots of striped bass, but they're never more than six pounds in weight. Mark Greenberg of New Canaan and his friend, Warren, of Dobbs Ferry had a wonderful afternoon, boating six bass up to 15 pounds and blues up to 13 pounds, all on bunker chunks.
Tight Lines,
Capt. Sal Tardella
