We've been experiencing a six-week heat wave in our area, but we've been getting our passengers into bluefish of all sizes, some nice fluke and porgies and a smattering of striped bass. However, there's been little consistency from day to day--and most of the action remains on the other side of Long Island Sound. Lots of theories abound on why we're having this poor showing in local waters, but it's bound to change soon. The Connecticut side is generally exploding with fish this time of year, so chances are that we'll be able to stay closer to home in the near future. Until then, we'll keep going wherever the fish take us.
