Our area has been dealing with very high temps, and we've been getting a mixed bag; but nothing is consistent of predictable. Among our catches last week were large sea bass, some decent fluke, bluefish of different sizes, and the occasional porgy. {%image_id=49341%} Biggest news this week was the appearance of a humpback whale feeding on menhaden. These mammals haven't been seen here for many years, and it's caused quite a stir, especially for out-of-towners who never fished in salt water.
