We've still been fishing primarily shallow water for the past couple of weeks but some deeper water around the bridges is starting to produce some nice fish as well. {%image_id=12974%} We caught these four redfish in deep water. The youngest one on board hooked up and before I could tell everyone to get their lines in and out of the way all four anglers on board were hooked up to a redfish. It was a little crazy for a few minutes as we were uncrossing lines and dancing around each other but we were able to land all four fish. The smallest one was 9 lbs and the biggest was 12 lbs. {%image_id=12970%} This 11 lb red took a gold spoon in less than 2 feet of water. That day we saw atleast 40 reds on the flats and about the same amount of trout. We ended up catching and releasing about a dozen keeper trout and 6 keeper reds. {%image_id=12971%} {%image_id=12972%} We caught these trout in shallow water as well. Caught some of them on live shrimp under a popping cork but the majority of them were caught on artificial baits. Don't forget...the fish keep biting even when the temps get cold!!!
