Today we tried fishing the edges of some big flats on sarasota bay with little to no luck. I think we caught two small flounder before switching to dock fishing. Structure is still the way to go. The first dock produced as soon as we got set up with small reds in the fourteen to sixteen inch range. We moved all of a hundred yards to another dock that produced sheepshead and more small reds. After the action slowed I headed back north to Anna Maria sound and fished docks around the bayside of the island. Here we caught more of the same with a few keepers to take home for the pan. Good fishing! Capt. Rick Gross
