Water temperatues have dropped into the low sixties. This has pushed the trout into the deeper channels. Rod Elwanger and family had an excellent day on monster trout up to 28 inches and a dozen snook up to 32 inches. They were hitting on floated shiners. A few reds in the 22 inch range made it to the cooler. Later in the week the fish slowed on eating shiners. We switched to soft jigs and worked the edges of the bars. Trout, sheepshead, and flounder cooperated throughout the lower tide. Nice bluefish were hitting the artificials on the deeper grass. Most were in the 4-6 pound range. A few pompano were caught on docs jigs in and around New Pass. The docks in the Manatee river are holding school reds and some black drum. Tom Chaya
