Early Fall Fishing

Anna Maria

It is hard to tell by the temperature outside but fall is coming. The days are getting shorter and there are defiant signs that things are changing. One of the biggest signs on the water are the schools of redfish gathering together.{%image_id=40182%} I am seeing more and more reds around with each passing day. There is nothing that can compare to a big school of redfish coming down a flat pushing water and bait out in front of it. Get in front with a tank full of white bait and it is game on. {%image_id=40183%}This also is one of the best years in a while for mangrove snapper. Any piece of structure in the bay right now has snapper. We have even been catching them on the flats fishing for reds and snook. It is a nice bonus to have snapper fillets at the end of the day.{%image_id=39726%} Snook are starting to make there move back into the bays from the beaches. This fishing will get much better as the water temperature starts to fall. Thank You & Good Fishing! Capt. Rick Gross fishybusinessllc.com
