The sun shined on Bobby, Jamie, and the rest of the guys all the way from Indiana this past Sunday aboard the Kingfisher. The race was hot early on around the slack tide. Trolling parachute jigs and sassy shad umbrella rigs took 12 stripers from 32? to 38?. As the tide picked up we drifted the middle race but the pick was slow. Still, we managed a keeper and a few shorts. Finished up, trolling another small reef on the way in to add a 25 pounder to the bag. The striper and blue fishing should only get better from here. Well be heading out to the Watch Hill Reefs this week to chase some birds and hook some fish up on the fly rod.
