Eastern Long Island Sound and Block Island Sound

Long Island Sound

Sorry for the late report but we took the Richards group out last sat. May 14th to Montauk for some hot fluke action. The fishing was phenomenal to say the least. We started out in 50 feet of water and began getting skates one after the other. Decided after about 5 minutes to move in closer to shore and the fluke were there big time. The guys scored on fish every drift in 20 to 30 feet of water. All in all, between three guys they caught there limit of 5 apiece plus another 25 throwbacks and a bluefish. There were a few 4 and 5 pound fish and the big score of the day was caught by Patrick Richard with a 11 pound 30 inch doormat. Great fish, great guys, great day on the Kingfisher.
