This past weekend the Kingfisher started out Saturday with the Nelsson group down from Poughkeepsie, N.Y. The plan was to head out to the south side of Montauk but the strong winds forced us to take cover and fish Greenport. It was a tough day to fish with the strong winds but they still managed 7 keeper fluke, 3 blues, a bunch of short fluke and a few sea robins. Ed Kondysar took the pool with an 8 pound 27" doormat. The Parker family did an afternoon striper trip and managed 4 keeper bass in tough conditions. Sundays group did better with bass taking 6 keeper bass to 37" The bass were there but they seemed alittle finicky due to the front that passed through fri. night. It only gets better from here on out.
