Blackfish Are In!!!!! Took a group out from Western Mass. this past sat. and nailed the bass right away. We picked up fish from 34" to 40" on every drift until the tide stopped. Total was 6 bass and a few blues mixed in. The hickory shad are still around in good numbers plus there have been some adult bunker showing up in the river so the striper action should be good for another month or so. The second half of the trip the wind picked up and the stripers turned off. Blackfih season has opened and from the chatter on the radio seems like everyone was doing very well with them. We will be starting our full day combo (striper/blackfish) trips as well as half day blackfish trips this weekend.
