Long Island Sound

Trophy Striped Bass all weekend on the Kinfisher Started friday when Capt. Mark took out Jan Berman by himself in the morning for a quick trip and picked up two hefty bass. Same scenario for Richard Stone that afternoon. The fishing was alittle slow but still managed two big bass each on short trips. Saturday things really picked up for the Harold Hart group. They limited out on bass in two hours (8 bass from 35" to a huge 49 incher caught by Harold). They decided to go fluking and scored 7 fluke all over 20". Harold came back out Sunday but the conditions weren't as favorable. Picked up three nice bass right away then the winds came and the fish shut off. Finished up fluking for 5 keepers and over a dozen shorts. Monday morning brought out Chad Healy and a friend from our marina. Bounced around dropping live bait with no takers until we hit the mother load. Caught 7 bass in the 30 to 40 pound range in about an hour. The bass had sea lice all over them so looks like another wave of nice fish have just moved in. Looking forward to the week ahead.
