Weekend report from the Kingfisher This past weekend started out with the Roberts group getting four nice stripers to 43", and all the bluefish they wanted. The bluefish are pretty much automatic with fish from 8 to 12 pounds. Sunday brought back the Morano group. This group has there video clip on our website slamming 30 to 40 pounders one after the other on last years trip so they were expecting much of the same. The cold front that moved in the night before pretty much turned the stripers right off. Plenty of blues still there and they did manage some very nice keeper fluke as well. This years fluke fishing has been awesome with many fish in the 20 to 22 inch range being caught. Monday brought out the Wooten group just in time for the stripers to go back on the feed again. Dwight scored the big fish of the day with a 47 incher and the rest of the crew were treated to there limit of 35 to 40 inchers. They also switched over and landed several keeper fluke with a 25 inch doormat caught by Capt. Scott trying out his new fluke rod. I am expecting great things in sept. so stay tuned!
