Estero Bay Fishing Report

Estero Bay

{%image_id=65763%}{%image_id=65762%}The past week on our Estero fishing charters we found some very productive periods in our trips. I say this because there was definite times of slower fishing as well, the tides this past week were strong at times and very weak at other longer times. During the times where the water really moved well the fish ate like crazy! It was not uncommon for us to catch 20 fish in one spot before leaving to find others. Water temps remain close to 90 degrees, when this happens it concentrates most fish close to the beaches and passes. Focus on fishing beaches in the early morning calm water for Snook, big whitebait on a 4/0 Mustad circle hook with 30lb leader will get them to eat. When fishing the beach for Snook it is a must to have good polarized glasses, the fish will adapt to the bottom color and on white sandy beaches they can be very hard to spot. Smith guides choice have been my go to glasses for beach sight fishing. The water clarity is very clean, after the tropical storm Cristobal that passed it was dirty and turbid but has cleaned up very nicely in the days after. Get out early this time of year and watch put for building thunderstorms in the afternoons and you will have a lot of success fishing in Estero Bay. Give us a call if you'd like to get out on the water fishing in Estero bay! www.calusafishing.com/estero-fishing-charters
