The bite in and around Estero Bay the past week has been tough for anglers due to the changing weather temps and windy conditions. They should focus their efforts on the mangrove edges and oyster bars on higher water for redfish, using shrimp tipped jigheads. There are also some sheeps still to be caught along with mangrove snapper in the same locations. Look to the passes for pompano, whiting, snapper, ladyfish, and the occasional mackerel. Bottom bouncing jigheads with shrimp is the ticket.
