The wind conditions have made it difficult for anglers in Estero Bay. Those finding places to hide have been catching some quality black drum along the mangrove shorelines in deeper water. Shrimp tipped jig heads is the best set-up for them. They are also picking up sheepshead and snapper with this method. Seatrout have been showing up in the deeper water near the passes and bottom bouncing shrimp tipped jig heads has worked for them. The passes are holding spanish mackerel and ladyfish. Casting and retrieving shrimp on jigs is the ticket. There has been some bait on the beaches and snook are eating it when free lined along the floating docks and beaches.
