Captain Jon Fetter of Catching the Cure Charters reports that the fishing inside Estero Bay this past week has been pretty tough for anglers. The focus has primarily been on getting ladyfish and jacks for shark fishing off Fort Myers Beach. The area is teaming with sharks ranging from 3-8 feet long and species from blacktips, spinners, sharpnose, lemons, and even hammerheads. Anchor up and start chumming, it won't take them long to pick up the scent and get the rods bending. The highlight of the week was two sawfish for his clients from Indiana. The first came in around 14 feet with the second pushing 9 feet. For all those involved it will be an unforgettable experience.
