Estero Bay Report

Estero Bay

The key to finding and catching fish this past week was getting out early. The bite has been best before the summer heat kicks in, usually around 10 am. Fishing the grass near oyster bars has been producing redfish in the upper slot size. Free lined pinfish or cut ladyfish seems to work best. There are also plenty of seatrout and ladyfish over the grass in 3-5 feet f water near the passes. The water here is cooler and the fish seem to like it. There has also been a quality bite in the passes. Drifting shrimp on jg heads or under popping corks has produced trout, ladyfish, mackerel, and small sharks.
