3-22-08 web Blown away again today but tomorrows forecast is good and Let's Go Fishin'. We have been fish some but high winds are holding us close to home port. Trout have saved the day the last few trips because we were restricted to protected water when we have been able to safely fish Lemon Bay and Gasparilla Sound. I have seen and heard a bout some pompano but only captured sheepshead when chasing em. Some snook and reds are being caught but waters are cool and will not warm up much till next week if the forecasts are correct. The good news is winds are backing off and this evening is beautiful so we are going fishing tomorrow! Blown out three days this week is frustrating but Spring is officially here and everything is looking up. I'm expecting Spanish and king mackerel to be here whenever we can get out to them. Tarpon will not be far behind this year if waters continue to warm up. Snook will go crazy as soon as the water temps get into the mid-seventies. Reds and trout will pick up then too. Minnows have been tough with the cool windy morning but this to will pass very soon. Please enjoy time with your family and friends; have a blessed Easter and be safe. Let's Go Fishin' soon.
