Lake Allatoona

This striper and hybrid report fishing report has been brought to you exclusively by Robert Eidson of First Bite Guide Service, 678-363-6260. www.firstbiteguideservice.com Lake Allatoona, Georgia email: [email protected]. Line sides fishing is good and been improving all this week. We are not loading the boat but what we are catching are good fish. The lake is still turning over. One day you think it's over then it show signs of being in full turn over. The year has been weird as far as the turn over is concern. There are fish on the South end of the lake right now mostly Hybrid from the pass to Clear Ck. But if you want to catch a big fish the North end of the lake is where you need to be. The Sea Gulls are showing up right on time. As soon as the fish start schooling on top. Just watch for the birds. The fish will be near by. Free-lines and planner boards in the morning and afternoon. With down-lines after the sun comes up. Trolling your Mack Farr u-rigs on the edge of the river channel will get you bit. Just mite take a while to find the fish. Top water, I have seen some action in the morning and late afternoon. So keep your eyes open and watch the birds. The Jr. Spook seems to be working best. I will be participating at the Atlanta Boat Show January 16-20, 2006 at the World Congress Center in the Southern Fishing booth. And will be doing seminars Fri, Sat and Sun. on line sides on Allatoona.
