Homosassa Fishing is Weather Perfect I can tell you at this point, is to come and go fishing because it is good. Homosassa Bay is chalked full of trout, redfish, cobia and many other salt water fish. I am so tired from catching fish and guiding that I can hardly write. Do I hear any violins playing? Anyway, the approach of the New MooAll n has brought in every kind of game fish that roams these waters. In the last two days Ron Arlesic and his son, Mike caught and released over 50 redfish between 5-9 pounds. The action was great on light tackle. Ron also jumped about a 80 pound tarpon. The weather was pretty with the winds southeast in the morning and from the west in the afternoon. Saturday was BORDERLINE ELEVEN. That was what Ed Lewis and Kevin Kite kept saying. If you have seen the movie “Gone Fishing” with Danny Glover and Joe Pisa, you know what I mean.(If you have not seen the movie; go rent it) The wind was suppose howl that day like it did last Friday, but God decided to make it a beautifully calm day. Both Ed and Kevin did catch some nice reds and one nice speckled trout. Even though the winds blew really hard on Friday, Dr. Koko from Atlanta with his wife and two sons managed to catch some trout and redfish. We were suppose to go tarpon fishing but the wind and water was so mucked up we decided to try for redfish. We caught a few reds and some nice trout. Dr. Koko’s wife though caught the most fish. That is what happens when you bring a woman! Ha! Did you hear about the GPS thing? Seems like they are going to give us the accurate version. Shucks, I want a refund on the differentials I just bought. Well it is time to get the Junkyard dog out; if you know what I mean!
