Lake Michigan Milwaukee fish report By Capt. Jim Hirt June continues to be very good fishing. All species are active. The surface temp changes daily from 66 to 58 degrees. For Coho we have had excellent action on boards, with Fishlander ultra glow spoons in a variety of sizes and colors. The best color pattern on spoons was easter egg green or blue glow. There are plenty of Rainbows in the top water and the bigger ones like the spoons. We are producing fish from 40 to 100 feet of water. There is a better concentration of fish in the top 50 feet. We have also caught fish down to 100 feet. Most of our deep fish have been on Opti-Dodgers or flasher flies. Within the last several weeks the big Chinooks have been very active with fish up to 22 pounds. We have also caught some smaller Brown Trout We are picking up the Chinooks on leadcore five colors and dipseys set to number 1 with 82 feet of line out. Inside of 80ft of water Fishlander Ultra glow spoons and flasher flies green with green flies, white with LLB have been the best.
