The summer temps will definitely seperate who can and who can't when it comes to fishing. Fortunately, I can! First up, thank you to Carl Bluin for the kind words posted on the Cyberangle Panhandle fishing forum. Miles, Del, Carl and now Big Carl...it's a ball everytime you guys come to Panama City. Lot's of big fish and laughs. {%image_id=5269%} Here's another monster spanish caught recently...this one went 28 inches at the fork. {%image_id=5270%} The trout are starting to show up in my usual summertime hot spots. We had several four and five pound fish this week. Hers a few of the highlights: {%image_id=5271%} {%image_id=5272%} {%image_id=5273%} This time of the year I don't run on Saturday mornings. I have been offering Friday night redfish, mangrove snapper and shark trips. All in the same trip, the fishing has been great. I didn't get an picture of the mangroves but we had a bunch this week with the night fish being much larger...up to three pounds. Heres some happy folks from last nights trip. We also had 11 big mangroves in the box. There were three sharks and five reds total caught. This was the only one that fell into the slot and that was just barely. {%image_id=5274%} Once again, thank you Carl. I know that some of the other reports you read don't settle well with you. There are a lot of bad guides out there, it makes them feel better when they bash us old timers. One thing for sure, if you read a guides report that there are no private holes out there you can bet he learned to fish the bay by either following the locals or other guides and snatching thier spots. Hope everyone has a great fourth and catches some fish.
