Although the weather has been very cold the fishing trips I have taken have been very good. The hot water canal, Warren Bayou, has been full of good trout all winter and that should continue throughout the month of February. I have a lot of trips scheduled this month so the reporting should be back on track, starting mid week this coming week. DUCK SEASON Season ends today at sunset. All in all it was a fair season with good moments here and there. We managed some good ducks on the bay early in the second phase including redheads, bluebills, goldeneyes and a few teal. There were some cans out there as well as on some of the lakes. We resigned ourselves to hunting freshwater the last two weeks taking may limits of woodies with a puddle duck scattered in here and there. When not fishing over the next couple of weeks I'll be in my deer stand hoping to improve on a nice 7 point I took recently. He was 14-1/2 inches wide.
