The last day of early wood duck and teal season was the best day of the five. Although we had a good opening day and saw plenty of birds, the last day was filled with many migrating flocks of bluewinged teal. We had a good season taking 23 birds in four days. Looking through the blind.... {%image_id=17428%} A limit of ducks. {%image_id=17429%} With the end of teal, "4lb. Ray" and I have been out a couple of times with some regulars mixed in. Ray and I fished east bay late last week catching some nice trout. Today we hit the bay for some spanish, blues and reds. The big reds are starting to pile up in the pass. Yesterday I had Jimmy Cook and his friend "Slim" on the boat. We fished nine different flounder spots. We caught one small fish the first spot, getting blanked the rest of the morning on flounder. Of course there is always trout, blues, spanish and reds to catch. The flounder run hasn't started but the cooler temps should trigger some movement over the next week or two. {%image_id=17430%}
