Trout and red bite has been pretty good all year. Still getting a lot of big spanish, bigger than in many years. Offshore we have been getting some kings when we go after them. All in all fishing has been dang good. I had another guide tell me the general feeling around here is I'm the best trout guide in the area...go figure...come fish with me and find out why. Truth is, I can find fish on the worse days and sometimes it can be tough. I try not to talk about some of the things I see out there but "4lb. Ray" and I saw something last week that I want to tell you about. We were drifting a well known guide spot casting spoons picking up a few blues, lady's and spanish. We drifted by another guide a couple of times, about 100 yards away. He had a dolphin swimming around the boat and his people were not catching any fish. Anyone that has fished with me knows when the dolphin show up it's time to move. We watched another guide motor in toward the first. The guide sitting on the spot with the porpoise picked up his anchor as the other came in and dropped his anchor in the same spot the first guide had just picked his up. It was obvious to us they were working together. How many fish do you think that second group caught? Call me. I'll put you on fish every time you get on my boat. {%image_id=21229%} {%image_id=21230%} {%image_id=21233%} {%image_id=21234%} {%image_id=21239%} {%image_id=21238%} {%image_id=21237%} {%image_id=21236%} {%image_id=21235%}
