Panama City/NW Florida Can't say enough about the fishing this summer....spanish run was off due to the amount of raid this spring but a few are trickling in each day. We had one today that was all of five plus pounds and a hell of a pull on six pound test. We had several more today and in recent days that were all very nice fish. Speckled trout....wow! Best year i have seen since i was a kid....a couple of days ago we had 23 keepers put in the boat with a couple of them being over three pounds. All but eight were released, along with the reds and the big spanish very good trip. Next day we had nine good trout in the box along with some flounders, blues and spanish....then the next day another big trout day with a five pounder and about ten of her buddies. Seems like we are catching nice trout every day. Mostly i am using menhaden fish the ledges and such. Chumming works some, but like i said the spanish seemed to have skipped us this year. Every thing else aside...the trout are the real stars of the summer. I don't know how long this will hold out but i think another ten plus pound fish could come in the boat this year. We alwasy put a lot of six and sevens....if you want t trophy trout give me a call, but bring a camera...i don't like to keep those big fish. Hearing some really bad things from people on the beach about some of the other guides....zero fishing days and such...there is no reason not to catch fish out there right now....you want to catch fish...i have days available, give me a call. capt james pic
