Panama City, NW Florida Quick update. Everything is falling into place nicely. Read somewhere recently that there were some chicken dolphin working close to the beach. Went out to check for myself and caught two on a piece of floating trash while fly fishing. Saw more but couldn't get them interested. Trout are definitely working the flats along with the reds. Topwater early, DOA Shrimp when the sun gets high. Going floundering Saturday night if the weather holds, heard some fish are around. Bay is full of every species: trash or trophy, take your pick. Back to the dolphin along the beach. Same thing happened in '98 and we caught them along the beach all summer long, with really big numbers in September. Makes your boat bloody but they sure are tasty. One last thing. In about two weeks I will be set up for rod repairs and custom rod building out of my house. Repair prices will be $3.00 for a guide plus the cost of the guide. Five day turnaround. I will repair one over night for an additional $3.00. Phone numbers on the site.....won't be ready till the middle of the month. I will also build custom rods at a competative price. Good luck and see you on the water. JP
