About a week ago I had the privilege to fish with a group of Wounded Warriors who belong to Operation Healing Waters. This group teaches Wounded Warriors how to fly fish and then takes them on trips around the country. Ultimately this activity is designed to help the warrior adapt back into society but it also helps the warrior recover from their injuries both physically and also mentally by being able to work with many different instructors, volunteers and guides. What a wonderful program and I want to say thanks to this group for coming out and fishing with us. Capt. Todd and I were very honored to be a part of this trip. We of course stuck primarily to fly fishing. Using streamers, poppers and spoon fly's the two warriors I took were able to catch a few Bonita, Spanish and Lady fish….but we also had a Mahi on for awhile and a king. Inshore we were able to talk a couple trout and reds into checking out the fly. All in all it was a great trip. Here are some pictures of what we caught. {%image_id=26950%} {%image_id=26949%} {%image_id=26951%} {%image_id=26948%} For more photo's check out our website at www.backbayadventures.com As always, good luck on the water and in the woods.
